A Bronx man was shot and killed Thursday during a robbery over his iPhone, the NYPD said Thursday.
Hwang Yang, 26, was walking home just past midnight near the corner of Cambridge Avenue and 232rd Street when he was approached by the suspect and shot in the chest, police said. Though his iPhone was taken, according to officials, his wallet was found at the scene untouched, the New York Post reported.
Yang, who lived on Johnson Avenue in the Bronx, was reportedly finishing his shift at a Manhattan restaurant when he was killed.
The NYPD said the investigation is ongoing.
