Police arrested a man Friday afternoon after he shouted and brandished a samurai sword inside an Apple Store in Manhattan.

There were no injuries reported in the incident shortly before 4 p.m. at the store on Fifth Avenue near 59th Street, an NYPD spokesman said.

In video and photos posted by customers on social media, a man wearing a dark jacket, sunglasses and a hat appears on the store's spiral staircase. He twirls the sword and sits briefly on his knees on a landing.

He then stands, points and walks down the stairs shouting, sword resting on his shoulder, according to the video.

As customers back away, the man can be seen walking back up the stairs. He was arrested moments later.

A police spokesman told The Associated Press the unidentified man appeared to be emotionally disturbed. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital Center for evaluation. Further details were not immediately available.

An Apple Store employee declined to comment.
