Man who accused Elmo actor of underage tryst recants story

The man who accused Elmo's voice and puppeteer of an underage fling is now walking back his story.
The accuser, now 24, initially said that when he was 16 he had a tryst with puppeteer Kevin Clash. But last night, the accuser said the relationship happened after he was of legal age, reports said.
The accuser "wants it to be known that his sexual relationship with Mr. Clash was an adult consensual relationship," read a statement from the law firm Andreozzi & Associates.
Clash, 52, said in a statement that he was "relieved that this painful allegation has been put to rest. I will not discuss it further."
The puppeteer had always contended that he had had a "consensual" relationship with the accuser when he was an adult."
