Man with reported ties to Saudi royal family convicted of rape

A businessman with reported ties to the Saudi royal family was convicted Wednesday of raping a 26-year-old woman in his room at the Plaza Hotel on Jan. 26, 2010.

Mustapha Ouanes, 60, who is married, met the woman and her friend at a bar that night before returning to the Plaza, reports said. He will be sentenced on March 15.
