Two reports released Thursday found that the average rent for a Manhattan apartment changed slightly in August though they differ in how the monthly prices changed.
The survey released by the real estate group MNS found overall rent went up 1.36% in the borough between July and last month. Average rent for a non-doorman studio went from $2,352 to $2,437 in August, according to the report.
Citi Habitats, another real estate group reported that rents went down 0.2% from July to August. The average monthly price for a Manhattan apartment was $3,434 in August, $8 less than it was in the month before, according to the Citi Habitats report.
