Maria Shriver to get huge divorce payout from Arnold: Report

A chastened Arnold Schwarzenegger is so aware his actions terminated his marriage that he’s willing to give his wife a “very generous divorce settlement,” RadarOnline reported Tuesday.
California’s “community property” divorce law requires a 50/50 split of wealth accrued during the marriage, but the former governator, 63, wants to go beyond that requirement. The couple was hitched for 25 years, and he’s said to be worth as much $750 million, so Maria Shriver’s take could be mammoth.
A source told the gossip site that Schwarzenegger is intent on making the divorce amicable and avoid a continuation of the media spectacle that surrounded the revelation in May that Schwarzenegger fathered a love child 13 years ago with veteran family housekeeper Mildred Baena.
The actor and his wife, 55, a former TV journalist, separated at that time. She filed for divorce last week, though settlement talks have reportedly been under way for some time. California’s former first couple has four children together.
“Maria was a loving wife and mother, and he doesn't think that any amount of money can minimize what he has put her through. He wants to do the right thing, and go above and beyond what is required of him under the law,” the source told Radar.
