Mayor bashes NRA's target range gun safety app
There's at least one app that won't be on Mayor Mike Bloomberg's iPad anytime soon.
The mayor ripped the NRA for releasing an app that teaches users gun safety tips with a video game that features a virtual gun range and pistol.
Bloomberg said the app, which is approved for users 4 years old and up by the Apple App Store, showed the organization is hypocritical, given that the head of the NRA blamed violent video games and movies for the recent surge in mass shootings after the Newtown, Conn., massacre.
"The stupidity of doing it is just mind-boggling," the mayor said.
