Mayor Bloomberg makes first appearance on 'SNL'

Maybe Mayor Michael Bloomberg has a future in comedy.

Hizzoner appeared on "Saturday Night Live" over the weekend -- his only time on the sketch comedy show in his 12 years as mayor.

Along with the episode's host Jimmy Fallon, Bloomberg was questioned by "Weekend Update" co-host Seth Meyers on what's in store after he leaves City Hall.

"I'll be fulfilling a lifelong dream of enjoying a small soda on a nonsmoking beach," joked the mayor, referring to two of his controversial laws -- bans on smoking in public places and super-size sugary drinks. When asked by Fallon if he had a job lined up, the mayor joked, "I've applied to teach Spanish at a few universities, but I'm told my accent isn't quite 'bueno.'" (Bloomberg has been the butt of jokes for his Spanish-language announcements.)

Meyers also asked the mayor if he would consider running for president.

"I don't know what the future holds -- president, pope, Naked Cowboy," he responded. "I have lots of options."
