Mayor Bloomberg's Super Bowl commercial with Boston's mayor

Mayor Michael Bloomberg will show up at Super Bowl parties across the region Sunday when his commercial airs during the big game.
His office said Tuesday he'll appear with Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, both wearing their home team's jersey, to talk about bringing an end to illegal guns.
"A New York-Boston Super Bowl is a perfect opportunity for the mayors to talk about fixing the nation's broken background-check system that allows criminals and dangerous people to buy guns illegally," a Bloomberg spokesman said.
The 30-second spot will cost hundreds of thousands of dollars and is being paid for by Mayors Against Illegal Guns, a coalition of more than 600 mayors from across the country. Bloomberg and Menino formed the group in 2006. The commercial itself will be a take on the New York-Boston rivalry.
