Mayor Mike Bloomberg has laid out a map to getting hired in New York's tech scene - literally.
Bloomberg Tuesday unveiled an interactive digital map that tracks the city's startups and tech companies and highlights the jobs they have available.
The map, posted at mappedinny.com, covers all five boroughs and has about 1,000 job listings from 324 companies. The advertised jobs are technology-centric, with most geared toward engineers, programmers and designers.
"New York City is the place to be if you're a growing tech startup," Bloomberg said.
The mayor's announcement came after a report from the Center for an Urban Future showing that NYC is behind only Silicon Valley in startups and tech companies.
