Meredith Vieira to reprise her 'General Hospital' role

Meredith Vieira is heading back to the world of soaps.

A decade after having a role on "General Hospital," Vieira is returning to the long-running daytime show as the same character, former high-end madam Bree Flanders, in an episode airing Friday.

"At that point, she was a madam," the "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" host said in a statement. "Now she's a senior vice president of a company, so she's definitely improved her lot in life."
