Michael Douglas: I didn't mean that oral sex caused my throat cancer

Michael Douglas' rep Monday walked back from the actor's remarks that his throat cancer was caused by performing oral sex.

Douglas, 68, said in a Sunday interview with The Guardian, "without wanting to get too specific, this particular cancer is caused by HPV, which actually comes from cunnilingus."

But his spokesman Allen Burry told the AP yesterday that Douglas meant only that HPV is capable of contributing to throat cancer in general.

The Guardian told the AP it hadn't received any complaints from Douglas.
