Michele Bachmann wishes Elvis happy birthday - on his death day

Michele Bachmann wished Elvis Presley a happy birthday Tuesday — on the 34th anniversary of his death.

The Minnesota congresswoman and Republican presidential candidate committed the gaffe during a campaign stop at a restaurant in Spartanburg, S.C.

After the King of Rock ’n’ Roll’s “Promised Land” was played, Bachmann told the crowd of about 300 people that she wanted to wish Presley, who died Aug. 16, 1977, a happy birthday.
