Michelle Williams strips down literally and emotionally for GQ

Michelle Williams bares more than just her curves in the latest issue of GQ: The "My Week With Marilyn" star reveals a rarely-seen emotional side when discussing her late ex, Heath Ledger.

Williams - who shares a child with Ledger - was visibly shaken and teary-eyed when asked whether she ever thought she'd end up with the "Dark Knight" star, who she was no longer dating when he died in 2008.

"That would make me way too sad to answer," Williams said, before telling the magazine through tears: "It would make me too sad to answer but it's also ... one of my favorite things to imagine."

The actress - who won a Golden Globe for her portrayal of Marilyn Monroe in "My Week" and channels the Hollywood icon in the sexy photo shoot - said her and Ledger's "initial meeting, the circumstances of how we first met, were cosmic or something." The two met while filming "Brokeback Mountain."

The February issue of GQ hits newsstands Jan. 24.
