Midtown West a magnet for new hotel openings

Midtown West is set to become the city's hospitality hot spot, accounting for nearly 60% of new hotel rooms slated to be added to the city this year, The Real Deal reported. In Manhattan, 2,501 new hotel rooms will become available in 2012, according to data culled by the site, and 1,459 of those will be in in Midtown West.
