Miley Cyrus VMA video breathes fire into show
Miley Cyrus is breathing fire into the promo push for this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.
The “We Can’t Stop” singer and her gang took to a replica set of the Atlantic Ave-Barclays Center station in a promo vid for the VMA’s, throwing a dance party as a firebreather lights up the subway tracks and her entourage tags up the walls with spray paint.
Cyrus, 20, is one of the artists scheduled to perform at this year’s show on Aug. 25, and is nominated for Best Pop Video, Best Female Video and Best Editing.
The show will take place at, naturally, the Barclays Center, the first time the show will ever hit Brooklyn.
The last time the award show came to the city was in 2009 at Radio City Music Hall, when Kanye West famously interrupted Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech.
Other performers this year will include West and Lady Gaga, who will debut her new single “Applause” from her upcoming album ARTPOP.
