Miss America Mallory Hagan attending inauguration
Miss America will attend President Barack Obama's inauguration ceremony Monday after all, despite saying earlier in that it might be too chilly to stand outside, according to Politico.
Mallory Hagan, New York's first Miss America winner since 1984 and a one-time Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn resident, told reporters Saturday that even though she has a ticket to the inauguration she might pass because "it's going to be freezing," according to The Associated Press.
Sunday, Hagan, 23, told Politco that she is in fact going and "we were concerned about a few things, travel being one of them, and also I was being a bit of a wimp and thinking that it might be cold."
She continued to say she was "graciously gifted" a down coat and will be at the ceremony "with bells on."
