This week, amNY puts Carolina Bermudez, a cast member on Z-100’s “Elvis Duran and the Morning Show,”on the breakfast griddle.
Q: If the show starts at 6 a.m., what time do you wake up?
A: 4 a.m., much to my fiance’s dismay. He sleeps in. And no, I don’t go to bed early: We have to watch all the TV shows the night before so we can talk about them on the air. I’m chronically sleep-deprived.
Q: You’re known as a fashionista. Any tips for getting ready really fast?
A: I don’t put on a full face ... just a tinted moisturizer – Miracle Skin Transformer — Fresh concealer and Lip Fusion Lip Jolie. For mascara, I use Lancome’s Oscillation Vibrating Infinite Power. I have to be careful when I put it in my bag because the wand vibrates — people think I’m carrying an adult toy.
Q: And then?
A: I drive to work. I take 45 minutes to get ready, and it’s only 12 minutes door-to-door from Williamsburg to TriBeCa. Then we read the papers and look at all the websites. Elvis and I do custom breaks for the other markets before the show. It’s a lot of work, but there’s never a dull moment.
Q: And the most important meal of the day?
A: I eat breakfast religiously, but not until 7 a.m. at the show. We have 15 to 20 people ordering out from TriBeCa Bagels, and they always manage to keep our orders straight. I get egg whites with peppers and onions, or I bring in some 2% cottage cheese and blueberries.
