This week: Mark Goodman, former MTV VJ and current host on Sirius Radio’s ‘80s channel.

Q: What time do you wake up in the morning?

A: Because I often do my Sirius XM shows from home, I don’t have to set my alarm to wake up every morning — but usually I’m up at 7:30 a.m.

Q: Are you a morning person?

A: I think I’ve become more of a morning person over the years — except for the first 10 minutes after I wake up. And since I’m such a poor time manager, waking up early gives me the chance to finish most of what I need to do — and as long as I can make it past that first 10 minutes, I’m good for an early start.

Q: What do you do to get yourself going?

A: Shower. Coffee. Food. In that order.

Q: Do you read newspapers? Watch the news?

A: I rarely read newspapers in the morning. I watch the “Today” show as I’m getting ready, but I get most of my news and info online.

Q: What’s the best song to wake up to?

A: I’m a music fanatic, so it changes day to day, depending on the weather, my mood, what I did the night before, what I have to do today and if I’ve done laundry recently. But this morning it was “It’s You, It’s Me” by Kaskade.
