Q: When do you wake up?
A: I have a five-month-old baby, and he normally wakes up at around 5:30. I wake up then, too.
Q: How does your day get started?
A: It’s chaos, my morning routine. Somehow, between the hours of 5:30 and 8:30, I have to feed the babies, get them ready for school, get myself ready for meeting a client or a public appearance. I can’t just throw on the sweats. I’ll tweet or update my blog and [then] get out the door. So it’s crazy. I try and make it fun for for my kids.
Q: What is your all-time favorite breakfast?
A: I think it would be pancakes. If you have the time to make pancakes from scratch, it would make me feel like my life has slowed down a little bit.
Q: Where do you and your family like to go for breakfast in NYC?
A: I like EJ’s [Luncheonette, 1271 Third Ave., at 73rd Street].
Q: What do you get there?
A: Buckwheat pancakes. I eat buckwheat — I have no idea if it’s better for you. ... Anything brown, you know?
Q: What can husbands do to make their pregnant wives have a better morning?
A: Let them sleep in. Anything you can do to let them have a little bit more sleep is the best possible thing.
