As Guinevere in "Camelot," Starz's reimagining of the King Arthur legend (which airs Fridays at 10 p.m.), British actress Tamsin Egerton, 22, is making a big American debut.
When do you get up? It varies. If I'm filming, 5 o'clock, maybe earlier. If I'm not working, 9.
Are you quick to get out of bed? It takes me about 10 minutes to wake up. I never just leap out of bed. I think you're weird if you do that.
Do you have any morning rituals? I have my cup of tea - because I'm English - and I have my breakfast and put on the television for the news, and then I'll get ready. God, that sounds really boring.
What is your favorite breakfast? My all-time favorite breakfast is eggs royale: smoked salmon on a muffin with poached eggs, with bearnaise sauce.
What is your impression of a typical American breakfast? Pancakes? Yeah, I'd definitely say pancakes - buttermilk pancakes with treacle. A big sugar rush in the morning, I think. And then corn flakes, yogurt and fruit. Isn't that what everyone has, I think? We don't really have [pancakes] in the morning here, so that's a complete novelty. That's an if-I'm-feeling-naughty morning.
Have you ever been to the International House of Pancakes? Is that IHOP? Yeah! I was there the other day, but I had eggs Benedict. But my boyfriend had the pancakes with maple syrup. They had a load of different jams, which was interesting. I love IHOP - it's a good place for a hangover.
