Motorcycle, 3 buses crash in Lincoln Tunnel

The center tube of the Lincoln Tunnel is closed because of a crash involving a motorcycle and three buses.

Port Authority spokeswoman Jennifer Friedberg says the crash occurred in the tunnel connecting New Jersey and New York City around 7:25 a.m. The accident remains under investigation.

The New York City Fire Department says the motorcycle rider was taken to Bellevue Hospital in very bad shape. The FDNY says there are also about 30 injuries, but none are life-threatening. About half of those injured were sent to hospitals.

Two lanes in and out of New York City are open, however there are traffic delays.
