Madison Square Garden has punched its ticket to the big dance.

The NCAA announced the Garden will host the East Regional semifinals and final during the 2014 NCAA Tournament. The arena hasn't hosted the bracket in 53 years.

"We are excited about the tournament returning to the world's most famous arena," NCAA vice president of men's basketball Dan Gavitt said in a statement. "Only three arenas have hosted more tournament games than Madison Square Garden, despite it being more than five decades since the last time it hosted."

MSG will also host March Madness action in 2015.
