MTA adds service for All-Star Game
Long Island Rail Road is adding extra trains to accommodate the thousands of fans that will head to Citi Field for the 84th MLB All-Star Game next week, the MTA said Wednesday.
The LIRR will have train service every half-hour and more as needed to the Mets-Willets Point station for the Summer Classic and fan events Sunday through game day on Tuesday. In addition to the extra service on the LIRR's Port Washington branch, New York City Transit will have additional trains on the No. 7 line.
