Those who drive to Long Island by way of the Throgs Neck Bridge are advised that, starting Wednesday, two of the three southbound lanes heading into Queens will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for several nights to allow for milling and repaving work, according to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

The work is expected to take six to eight nights, weather permitting and excluding weekends, the MTA said.

As an alternative, drivers can look to the Bronx-Whitestone Bridge, and otherwise, expect delays.
