The J train in lower Manhattan will be shutting down overnight this week as the MTA's Fastrack maintenance program hits the line.

For four straight nights starting today, the J train will not run between Broad Street and the Delancey/Essex stop from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. as crews service tracks, signals, cables, lighting, third rail components and platform edges.

The MTA advises using the F, 4 and 6 trains instead.
