There's some good news for Queens straphangers: There will be no more weekend shutdowns along the No. 7 line until at least October.

The MTA expected to wrap up construction work Monday morning that had canceled weekend service between Manhattan and Queens for 11 straight weeks. No. 7 trains were set to resume service to Court Square before rush hour Monday for the first time since January.

An agency spokesman said Sunday that all planned weekend work on the No. 7 line is suspended during the baseball season, ensuring regular service through the end of September (and possibly longer, if the Mets make the playoffs).

The MTA said maintenance work is necessary to improve reliability and safety. Long-term work on the line is planned to continue until 2016.

The Court Square station was refurbished, including “enhanced accessibility features” to make it American Disabilities Act-compliant by June.
