MTA offers 'Nostalgia Train' to Yankees season opener
The trip to today's Yankees season opener is going retro.
For the sixth year in a row, the MTA will offer rides from Grand Central to Yankee Stadium on the "Nostalgia Train," a four-car convoy of the 1917 vintage Lo-V car model that was retired from regular service in 1969.
The trains will depart from GCT at 11:30 a.m. on the uptown 4 platform. The MTA points out the Yankees have had a season-opener record of 4-1 since the nostalgia train was unveiled.
