MTA to increase, extend bus routes this weekend

The daily commute is about to get easier for thousands of New Yorkers.

The MTA is set to restore and expand routes for about 40 bus lines as part of the plan that was originally announced in July.

The routes being restored or expanded, including the Bx13, B57, M9 and Q24, were originally cut in the 2010 budget, but are being expanded because of 17.8 million in service investments.
