NBC announces the end of 'The Office' following ninth season

Dunder Mifflin is set to make its last delivery.
NBC announced Tuesday that the upcoming ninth season of "The Office" will be its last.
The sitcom premiered midseason in 2005 as the American adaptation of the British sitcom of the same name starring Ricky Gervais.
The show has won four Emmy Awards, and many of its stars, including Steve Carrell and John Krasinski, have gone on to have successful movie careers.
"Office" funnygal Mindy Kaling is slated to star in a comedy on Fox called "The Mindy Project," premiering in late September.
