"Arrested Development" fans rejoice: Netflix is set to unveil all 10 new episodes of the show on the same day.
The video service will begin streaming the episodes sometime next year, Ted Sarandos, Netflix chief contact, told reporters Tuesday at the National Association of Broadcasters conference.
"We are embracing the fact that these episodes are being 'aired,' so to speak, at the same time. And it is changing our storytelling; we had a lot of secrets that we were planting in storytelling," Sarandos said.
The show's creator, Mike Hurwitz, confirmed the release and said production will begin this summer.
Hurwitz initially said each episode would focus on a specific character, but told reporters at the conference that it's actually "becoming more like the old show again."
The cast and its creator did not discuss the rumored "Arrested Development" movie, but Hurwitz did say he'd be open to more seasons on Netflix.
"The show's audience has grown over the last six years because of [viewers streaming it]," he said. "It's been like putting jokes in a bottle and then having them come back years later to say, 'Ha ha.'"
