New ice rink to open in Brooklyn

Get ready to lace up your skates: An outdoor ice rink will open Nov. 15 at the McCarren Park Pool and Play Center.

The 60 feet by 120 feet rink, a joint project of the Open Space Alliance for North Brooklyn and the NYC Parks Department, will operate through January and be open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week. Admission will be $8 for adults, $5 for seniors and students and $4 for children. Skate rentals will cost $5. Visitors will be able to use the pool lockers at the site and skate sharpening will also be available.
