After online complaints from iPad 3 users that the device sometimes gets too hot to hold, Consumer Reports said Tuesday that its tests showed Apple's latest gadget soars to 116 degrees Fahrenheit while running games. That's 13 degrees higher than the level that an iPad 2 typically reaches.
The iPad 3 test was done in an environment with a temperature of 72 degrees, the magazine said. Apple recommends not using its iPad devices in environments hotter than 95 degrees.
