'The Hunger Games' So, I'd hate to think that I'm the last person in the United States to experience the awesomeness that is "The Hunger Games." Just in case I'm not, or if hard-core fans are looking for further confirmation that their passion is worthy, here you go: this is a powerhouse of a film, dark, brooding, exciting and violent. Jennifer Lawrence again shows she's an excellent actress with a great knack for picking smart roles. I'm going to read the book ASAP and I can't wait to see the next film. That's about all you could want from a movie franchise, right? Available Aug. 18. (DVD, $30.98; Blu-ray, $39.99)
'Jaws' I'm not sure what's left to say about the greatness of Steven Spielberg's epic shark thriller that hasn't already been said. It's a classic, it's highly influential and it's got a superb cast that hits its mark in every scene. "Jaws" is making its debut on Blu-ray, so just go get it, OK? (DVD, $19.98; Blu-ray, $29.98)
'The Raid: Redemption' Those of you looking for the latest martial arts action extravaganza will find it in this Indonesian film. (DVD, $30.99; Blu-ray, $35.99)
'Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory' The final installment of the documentary series about the West Memphis Three landed an Academy Award nomination. This film will catch you up if you missed the first two, so don't be afraid to start here. (DVD, $29.95)
TV on DVD 'Community: The Complete Third Season' (DVD, $45.99) 'Dexter: The Sixth Season' (DVD, $54.99; Blu-ray, $65.99) 'Glee: The Complete Third Season' (DVD, $59.98; Blu-ray, $69.99) 'Nikita: The Complete Second Season' (DVD, $59.98; Blu-ray, $69.96)
