‘Killing Season’ Once upon a time, a new Robert De Niro movie was a big deal. And once upon a (much, much briefer) time, a new John Travolta movie was a big deal. Those times are not now, and this brutal film, which pairs the two, won’t bring them back. Directed by Mark Steven Johnson (“Daredevil”), “Killing Season” follows a grumpy old man (De Niro) who lives alone in the wilderness and befriends a mysterious Bosnian man (Travolta, with a dreadful accent) who one day shows up in his secluded neighborhood. I’m not going to pretend this isn’t obvious — look at the title of the film: These two are going to battle, and it’s going to be gruesome. I’ll let you find out why, though. That said, while these are two actors who seem to make a lot of bad films these days, this one actually isn’t that awful. Perhaps that’s the biggest shocker of all here.  ‘Epic’ From the makers of “Ice Age” comes this animated adventure about a girl who is shrunk down to help save a forest world. The visuals here are stunning, even if the story is a bit generic. (DVD, $29.98; Blu-ray/DVD combo, $39.99; Blu-ray 3-D/Blu-ray/DVD combo, $49.99) 
 ‘Star Trek: Enterprise — Complete Second Season’ The only “Star Trek” TV series still in play after the new films changed the “Star Trek” history never got the acclaim given some of its predecessors, but this Scott Bakula-fronted show — set 100 years before the days of Captain Kirk — is a fun ride. If you’re even a passing fan of the series, you’ll have a great time with these adventures. (Blu-ray, $129.99)
