"The Grey"

'The Grey'
Despite his insistence in HBO's "Life's Too Short" that he's funny, Liam Neeson is one serious man - grizzled and gruff and not the kind of guy you'd want to mess with. In "The Grey," Neeson dances with wolves in this slow, methodical survival thriller set in the Alaskan wilderness. It's hard to argue with the craft of the movie: It looks great and the frozen environment makes for some breathtaking long shots - but wow, this is one slow-moving film. (DVD, $29.98; Blu-ray/DVD combo, $34.98)

'One For the Money'
Katherine Heigl stars in this film based on the Stephanie Plum books by Janet Evanovich about a woman who takes a job in the bail-bond industry. (DVD, $29.95; Blu-ray, $39.99)

'Chronicle'
Teens with superpowers through the lens of a teen documentarian (faux-style, of course!). This was written by Max Landis, son of the legendary director John. (DVD, $29.98; Blu-ray/DVD combo, $22.99)

'Hell on Wheels: The Complete First Season'
AMC's gritty story about a Confederate soldier searching for the man who killed his wife, set along the building of the transcontinental railroad. (DVD, $39.98; Blu-ray, $44.98)

'Albert Nobbs'
Glenn Close landed a Best Actress Oscar nomination (as did co-star Janet McTeer for Best Supporting Actress) for this film about a woman who dresses and acts like a man to land a job in 19th-century Ireland. (DVD, $27.98; Blu-ray, $39.99)

'Diana Ross: Live in Central Park'
Ross' 1983 concert in Central Park is captured here, including her hits, such as "I'm Coming Out" and "Ain't No Mountain High Enough." (DVD, $16.98)

-- 'Being John Malkovich' Criterion Collection (DVD, $29.95; Blu-ray, $39.95)
-- 'Rampart' Woody Harrelson reunits with director Owen Moverman ("The Messenger") for this drama (DVD, $28.99; Blu-ray, $29.99; Blu-ray/DVD combo, $34.99)
-- 'The Walking Tall Trilogy' (DVD, $24.97; Blu-ray, $34.93)
