President Barack Obama is looking more vulnerable than ever, as a new poll puts him in a virtual dead heat with four top 2012 GOP contenders.
According to a Gallup poll of registered voters released Monday, in head-to-head contests, Mitt Romney would beat Obama by two percentage points; Gov. Rick Perry would tie with Obama; and Reps. Michele Bachman and Ron Paul would barely lose to him.
The poll came as Obama's approval rating hovered around 40%, the lowest of his presidency, with just 26% of voters approving of his job with the economy.
Still, it wasn't all bad for Obama: A Rasmussen poll, also out Monday, showed that he would demolish will-she-or-won't-she GOP candidate Sarah Palin by a whopping 17 percentage points.
