Bistro Vendome: This new French bistro has opened in the former March space. The owners are Chef Pascal Petiteau and his wife Virginie, who oversees the front of the house. The menu includes sole meuniere, filet mignon and cassoulet. 405 E. 58th St., 212-935-9100

The Meatball Shop:
At this 39-seat restaurant, guests can mix and match five different kinds of meatballs with four different sauces to build sliders, heros and more. Diners also can build their own ice cream sandwiches. This week, the restaurant will be open from 5 p.m.to 4 a.m.; starting next Monday, it will be open daily from noon to 4 a.m. 84 Stanton St., 212-982-8895
