We may as well accept it: Even shopping is now dominated by social media.

This is clearly evidenced by new e-commerce site Love Be Loved, which allows subscribers to save on moderately priced shoes by clicking a "share" button next to each item. From there, they instantly spread the word about the item on Facebook, scoring an automatic discount as an incentive for sharing.

For example, a pair of Chinese Laundry heels (left) sells for $89.95 elsewhere, but if users share it, they'll score a $24.96 discount. In addition, members will earn store credits known as "Love Bucks" for each item they share and buy. As an additional incentive, new members earn $20 off their first order just by joining. Membership is free at lovebeloved.com.
