The stadium at Newtown High School bears Bruce Jenner's name, but the famous alum is anything but focused on his glory days following the tragic shooting that killed 20 children in the quiet Connecticut town where he attended school.
"Not in a million years would you ever think that this quiet little town would have such a terrible, terrible tragedy happen there," the Olympic gold medalist told E! News. "You just can't believe it."
"[The families' losses are] unimaginable," added Jenner, 63, who stars on E!'s "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" with his family.
Jenner's sister attended kindergarten at Sandy Hook Elementary School, where the shooting occurred.
He said he has spoken to his mother and sister since the tragic events, and they are both shocked and saddened.
"I just get mad inside at humanity sometimes and how a twisted mind can be so evil," he said.
