Brett Favre may have eluded a tackle by the NFL.

The Minnesota Vikings quarterback yesterday met with league officials about his “sexting” scandal, but failed attempts to reach the alleged victim may squash the investigation, ESPN reported yesterday.

Favre, 41, spoke with NFL Vice President for Security Milt Ahlerich about lewd messages — which include voice mails and naked pics — he allegedly sent to Jets sideline reporter Jenn Sterger while he played for Gang Green in 2008, ESPN.com reported.

But ESPN’s sources said the league hasn’t been able find the stunning brunette for an interview, and without her testimony the investigation could end as soon as this week.

Reps for Favre, Sterger and the NFL didn’t return calls for comment.
