Nick Brooks, the man charged with killing a Manhattan swimsuit designer at Soho House Hotel, may challenge the autopsy that determined she was choked and drowned, reports said.

Hotel staff found Sylvie Cachay, 33, dead in an overflowing bathtub at the hotel on Dec. 9 after checking in with Brooks, 25, who was her boyfriend. Brooks is the son of Joseph Brooks, an accused rapist and Oscar-winning composer of “You Light Up My Life.”

“He's terribly sad about the loss of Sylvie and he continues to try to cope with the horror of being charged," Brooks' lawyer Jeffrey Hoffman said following a brief court appearance, according to the Daily News.

Hoffman said he wants his own experts to review Cachay’s autopsy and may dispute it with a second, private autopsy, the Daily News reported.

Brooks has pleaded not guilty and maintained that Cachay was fine when he left the hotel room to party with friends.

He allegedly told police Cachay took anti-depressant Xanax pills the night she died.
