Nicki Minaj denies gun comment

Nicki Minaj isn't taking her "American Idol" feud with Mariah Carey sitting down.

A day after reports surfaced that Minaj had threatened to "shoot" Carey - during a heated argument over an "Idol" contestant's performance, mind you - the rapper took to Twitter to share her side of the story.

"Hey yAll," Mianj wrote on Thursday. "Lets just say nicki said smthn about a gun. ppl will believe it cuz she's a black rapper. Lmao."

On Thursday's episode of ABC talk show "The View," Barbara Walters told the audience that she had spoken to Carey, and the songstress said Minaj did in fact make a gun threat, and that as a precaution, Carey had stepped up her personal security details.

"Ironically no camera or mic heard the gun comment tho," Minaj wrote. "Lol @ the struggle."
