Nine firefighters injured battling Brooklyn blaze

Nine firefighters were taken to Kings County Hospital Center with minor injuries after battling a four-alarm fire in East Flatbush yesterday
According to an FDNY spokesman, 168 firefighters from 39 units responded to the blaze in the two-story brick store at 561 Utica Ave. that was first called in at 10:32 a.m. The cause of the fire, which took three hours to extinguish, is under investigation, he said.
No hospital spokesman was available to provide information last night regarding the condition or release of the injured firefighters.
