Rangers center Brad Richards missed Monday's practice, but coach John Tortorella believes the team's third-leading scorer will play today against the Flyers, according to the New York Post.

Richards got cross-checked head first into the boards when the Sabres' Patrick Kaleta hit him from behind on Sunday. Richards only missed one shift from the incident, while Kaleta was ejected with a game misconduct.

Kaleta received a five-game suspension after a hearing with NHL head disciplinarian Brendan Shanahan Monday afternoon. It was the maximum penalty he could receive because the hearing was over the phone and not in person.

Forward Arron Asham also missed practice due to lingering effects from back spasms. He has been absent from the last five games and reportedly hasn't worked the injury on-ice since Feb. 23.
