NYC heat claims three elderly victims

This summer’s heat heaves claimed three elderly victims last week, bringing the total death toll to seven.
Two sickly Brooklyn residents, a 77-year-old woman and a 72-year-old man, died Aug. 1 when temps reached 92 degrees, and an 84-year-old Bronx woman died Aug. 4 under temps of 85 degrees, according to published reports.
The earlier victims died July 23, when the mercury rose to 100 degrees.
