The mayor's push for bike lanes and rental programs has helped New York come in 7th in Bicycle Magazine's list of bike friendly cities. The ranking may get a boost next year with some help of the mayor's bike share program.
Starting this summer, New Yorkers can rent bikes at pickup stations in all five boroughs. Here are the top spots to take your two-wheeler nationwide:
1. Portland, OR
2. Minneapolis, MN
3. Boulder, CO
4. Washington, D.C.
5. Chicago, IL
6. Madison, WI
