NYC school moves classes to avoid protest
A city college says classes will be moved and student access will be limited when the City University of New York Board of Trustees next meets, in order to avoid a repeat of a student protest that ended in arrests.
Baruch College says it is re-scheduling classes on Monday after 3 p.m. and only allowing limited student access to the building where the CUNY board will be.
At a meeting on Nov. 21, students protested a planned tuition hike. A CUNY official said they were congregating in the building lobby and refused to move when asked. Fifteen people were arrested.
