NYC solidarity runs for Boston bombing victims
Here are a few athletic events going on Monday in honor of the victims of last week's Boston bombing:
NYC Runs virtual run for Boston: Participants can run a 5K anywhere in the city, log on to nycruns.com and enter their time. There is a $25 race fee and runners can donate additional funds. All proceeds will go to The One Fund Boston, which will help the families of those affected by last week's incidents.
#BostonStrongNYC: Runners are set to meet at Tavern at the Green at 6:30 p.m. to run in solidarity for the Boston victims. The run is part of a worldwide social media effort to support the victims. For more info, go to pavementrunner.com/boston-strong-city
