New York City police say they traded fire with an armed suspect during a warrant search for guns, critically injuring the man. One officer suffered minor injuries.

Police were searching the Bronx home with a warrant at about 9:15 a.m. Thursday when the suspect pulled out a gun.

It’s not clear how many shots were fired.

Police say the suspect fired at the officers, who returned fire.

At least two officers were on scene.

It’s not clear how many times the man was hit.
